Everything Stockroot does today
Stockroot connects stock, purchasing, sales and balances. A goods receipt, a delivery or a payment is recorded once, and stock levels, invoices, ledgers and reports all read from it. This page lists what is available now, and what is not.
Inventory and godowns
Stock is held per warehouse, and every change to it is a recorded movement.
- On hand, reserved and available quantity for each product in each warehouse
- Stock value at weighted-average cost, per warehouse
- Transfers between warehouses, sent and then received
- Stock adjustments from a physical count, with a reason and an approval step
- Reorder levels per product, low-stock alerts, and a draft purchase order for everything that needs reordering
- Opening stock, categories, brands, units and pack sizes; catalogue import from Excel or CSV
Purchasing and suppliers
Order from suppliers, receive what actually arrives, and know what you owe.
- Purchase orders confirmed by a user with approval rights
- Goods received in one or more receipts against the order, into the warehouse you choose
- A supplier bill created as goods are received
- Purchase returns that take stock back out
- Supplier ledgers, payments to suppliers and payables aging
Sales and receivables
Reserve stock when a sale is confirmed, and invoice what you actually deliver.
- Quotations converted into sales orders
- Confirming a sales order reserves the stock
- Partial deliveries; each delivery takes stock out and raises the invoice for what was delivered
- Sales returns that put stock back
- Customer payments matched to open invoices, and advances applied to later invoices
- Customer ledgers with debit, credit and balance, and receivables aging
Accounts, payments and expenses
The balances behind the stock: who owes you, whom you owe, and where the cash is.
